A program of the Emancipation Economic Development Council and the Texas Historical Commission, The Emancipation Avenue Main Street Program creates and supports equitable economic development by revitalizing commerce, celebrating African American culture, and promoting creativity on the Emancipation Avenue corridor in Houston’s historic Third Ward community.
Who are we looking for?
Entrepreneurs and business owners who need a solid plan for their business, desire to grow their business, or simply don’t know where to start are encouraged to apply.
What is it all about?
This program will help you create a solid foundation for you business by giving you the essential tools to implement your idea or grow your existing business in the Historic 3rd Ward. Through group sessions and one-on-one consultations, you can make your business dream a reality!
